London Bug Day returns to the London Children’s Museum after a two year hiatus

Child holding walking stick bug as mother looks on mother After a two-year hiatus, the London BUG Day  has finally happened on this past September 24th! Under the leadership of Zachary Seth and Stefane Saruhashi, both PhD students in Biology at Western University, a hard-working team of volunteers has made the London BUG Day a reality again. The event happened at the London Children’s Museum, where the ecological and economical importance of insects was showcased to 600+ members of our London community. Food made of insects, roach races, and a Monarch butterfly release were just some of the many attractions of the event. The London BUG Day was generously sponsored by Nature London, the Entomological Society of Ontario, Western Science, and Montessori Academy. Undoubtedly, the Biology graduate students from Western University already look forward to next year’s London BUG Day edition! See photos from the event in the flickr album London Bug Day 2022.
